REMOTE - Core System Programmer - PowerOn (AZ, TX, CA, and NV Only)

Atrilogy’s Direct Client is looking to hire a Core System Programmer for a full-time/ direct-hire role.  This is a remote opportunity!

**Candidates must be located in CA, TX, OR AZ

Under general supervisor and based on a thorough knowledge of the capabilities of the Symitar system in regard to PowerOn programming, standard batch programming options, forms and Episys parameter settings, supports end users with the design, development, and modification of Symitar/Episys PowerOn programs. Works closely with the Technical Business Analyst and end users to deliver quality work that improves efficiencies and that enhance the user experience.

Essential duties:

  • Responsible for full life cycle development including design, implementation, testing and maintenance of PowerOn programs. Includes Symforms, batch reports and SymXchange.
  • Application of significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service
  • Partners with Technical Business Analyst and/or departments to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Maintains and modifies code to comply with system changes and new specifications
  • Debugs existing code to ensure minimal user downtime and maintain maximum member service
  • Assess, design and develop level of effort estimates
  • Participate in efforts to share technology expertise and train and mentor others in the use of technologies and development processes
  • Works with IT team to troubleshoot complex problems to identify if code related
  • Utilizes technology to streamline processes at every opportunity improving organizational efficiencies
  • Exercises innovation and creativity, identifying trends, researching and resolving error
  • Effectively conveys knowledge and information. Communicates with immediate supervisor and the team, keeping others advised of progress and delays should they occur.

Qualifications:
Experience/ Training/ Education:
  • High School or equivalent, with Associates Degree in related field preferred
  • 2+ years of progressive software development experience in Episys environment
  • Working knowledge of Repgen, PowerOn, SymForm, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Jack Henry suite of services or certifications

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies as they are introduced into the environment.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing and excellent telephone manner, with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to speak and hear to give and receive instructions and information to others in person and over the telephone. Other language skills helpful.
  • Must have personal computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft programs at an intermediate skill level.
  • Intermediate math skills required.
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate reliable records.
  • Requires good memory, knowledge retention skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and duties effectively.
  • Requires excellent follow-through skills, member relations skills, and sound business judgment.
  • Ability to interface in with others in a positive and professional manner.
  • Goal-oriented with a desire to work in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and be self-directed when necessary as well as the ability to work and accomplish goals in a team environment
  • Requires good memory, knowledge retention skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and duties effectively. Requires excellent follow-through skills.
  • Ability to interface in with others in a positive and professional manner.
  • Position may require working evenings, Saturdays, weekends, and early mornings.
