Out national enterprise client is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team on a 6 month contract-to-hire basis. This role is 100% remote and is a full-stack position.
Position Description: Design, develop and deliver quality software solutions to our business partners. Our team of highly skilled and motivated IT professionals takes pride in working on diverse projects while learning new technologies and continuing their professional development. This DevOps position will align with multiple teams and will leverage their web development and infrastructure development background to design, code, test, and maintain application software.
Duties included as follows:
Responsible for building a web-based portal using AngularJS
Build user authentication using SSO within the web application
Integration with back-end services including both SOAP and REST API’s
Collaborate with developers, testers, security, and operation teams during development phase
Support QA testers and UAT team during application release
Collaborate with Security team to ensure all best practices are being followed
Present to peers and senior leadership
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
At least five (5) years’ hands-on experience creating web applications using AngularJS or similar framework.
At least three (3) years of experience with migrating, architecting, building, and deploying systems and applications to a public Cloud.
At least three (3) years of experience with AWS based Cloud Architecture.
At least two (2) years of experience with Linux system administration
At least two (2) years of platform scripting experience with the Ruby, Python, Bash, Go, or other automation languages.
Experience working with SOAP and REST based applications
Strong automation skills (tool agnostic)
In-depth experience with Java
Development tools such as Eclipse, JUnit, Maven, Nexus
Infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Terraform, Ansible
AWS: VPC, EC2, Route53, ELB, RDS, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy and more.
Monitoring analytics, DataDog, Splunk
