We are looking for a highly motivated DevOps Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our Identity & Fraud Product Innovation team, focused on applied fraud research and analytics. You will be working closely with product owners, data scientists, and other developers on the development of a cloud-based analytic platform to help solve big fraud and identity challenges and meet the future needs of our clients. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering with a focus on Computer Science or similar disciplines and strong development background.
What you’ll be doing: • This DevOps Engineer is a hands-on technical position responsible for designing and implementing enhancements, extensions, and improvements to our “infrastructure as code” in a cloud-computing environment which automates: o AWS resource provisioning and management o Build pipeline supporting Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment o Instrumentation, monitoring, notification, and alerting • The current platform has been implemented using “infrastructure as code” concepts. Experience with Python or equivalent deep experience with other scripting or infra-coding tools is essential. Agile product-oriented development experience is also important to manage the on-going project and technical requirements in a collaborative team environment.
Primary responsibilities include: • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify platform needs and issues • Assist with sprint planning and retrospectives • Design, build and improve platform support for various resource provisioning in AWS • Create and improve monitoring and alerting capabilities • Design and implement infrastructure capabilities in an automated way, such as IAM, data policies, security tools, monitoring and alerting, etc. • Perform technical troubleshooting for AWS environments • Manage disaster recovery and backup/BCP strategies for the platform
Qualifications & skills Include: • 3+ years’ experience in DevOps engineering role • Production experience with AWS • Fluency in Python and scripting language • Strong knowledge of the DevOps toolchain such as Terraform, Jenkins, Splunk, Dynatrace, Git, etc. • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and analyzing system metrics to identify problems and understand system behavior • Experience deploying automation solutions in AWS • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Bachelor of Science or comparable experience Additional preferred experience • Linux system administration experience • Experience with a variety of open-source technologies and tools in support of cross-team collaboration • Strong problem-solving skills • Passion for innovation and ambition to succeed
