IT Project Manager - Onsite Houston TX

Our direct client is looking to bring on an IT Project Manager for a 12 month CONTRACT ROLE working 4 days week onsite  at their HQ in Houston, TX 77077.  (In the Energy Corridor of Houston)
 
  • Monday-Friday (40-hour work week)
  • MUST be able to work  4-day per week (ONSITE:  Monday-Thursday)
  • Location: Houston, TX 77077.  (In the Energy Corridor of Houston)
  • 1-YEAR Contract, open for W2 or Corp-to-Corp contract.


***  Past exp with SAP SuccessFactors is NOT REQUIRED for this position, however, must have recent exp with software dev and cloud projects.
Not looking for infrastructure/Networking PM's.

Project Overview:
  • They are using a blended Team:  SAP ++ a 3rd party implementation partner (Have not selected)
  • Client is going from a Legacy to SF Cloud
  • Client is implementing all of the modules, minus Payroll.

The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting a NEW SuccessFactors implementation for our client. The project manager will work within a team of highly skilled system administrators, developers, subject matter experts and business analysts. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects and accounts by interfacing with the senior management, project team members, and the client to meet customer and company expectations.

Skills:
  • Min 7 years of IT Project Management
  • Min 3 + years of Project Manager of Software Development projects
  • Experience working with a Cloud project – Nice to Have
  • SAP SuccessFactors Implementations experience is ONLY A PLUS!!

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a set scope of work within the project through setting effective expectations, communications, change management control, budget control and management, and overall business understanding of the project needs
  • Actively support the project management team’s efforts, to include project plan, scope management, resource management, time management (activities & task planning), risk management, transition planning and ongoing maintenance and support
  • Direct and control activities to meet/control customer expectations and meet budgeted financial objectives tied to the project
  • Track all project costs to budget, project progress to schedule, and prepare cost-to-completion reports
  • Obtain approval of requirements and solution design documents
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Manage and lead client communications
  • Serve as the client interface for project schedule, budget, and scope
  • Maintain routine communications with the senior management concerning all aspects of the project
  • Support the development of proposals by providing estimates for support activities
  • Assist with project SDLC documentation
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Detailed oriented
