Job Summary:
The Data Automation Specialist will work to identify areas in which efficiencies can be gained through data automation.
In this role, you will be responsible evaluate, design, build and deploy a variety of data tools, working closely with business and project stakeholders to ensure that the systems are delivered and maintained according to meet business requirements.  You will also act as the technical escalation point for data related issues, and research, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated user issues.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, and manage data warehouses, data marts and reporting databases to meet the information needs and provide enterprise technology solutions based on SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2014/2017 and Business Intelligence Studio (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
  • Provide expert solutions on SQL Server and project management, database, information system, and quality management.
  • Employ a wide range of advanced data technologies and techniques, leveraging data engineering principles and foundations to make informed selections of most appropriate technologies based on current and anticipated requirements, constraints, and objectives.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain Microsoft SQL based applications such as indexes, constraints, stored procedures, functions, triggers.
  • Configure Azure-SSIS Integration Runtime (SSIS-IR) to run Integration Service packages in cloud.
  • Build the infrastructure required for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Perform ETL to extract data from various data sources including FTP/SFTP and load into the end user data warehouse.
  • Build Data Ingestion Frameworks and work with Azure Data Flow, Azure Data Pipeline, and workflow management tools: Cloud Composer, Airflow and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Design SSIS Audit Control and Scheduling Processes.
  • Managing and versioning the SSIS projects using Visual Studio Foundation Server (VFS).
  • Write C# scripts and Fetch XML Queries to create Complex Custom extension components in SSIS and SSRS.
  • Use SQL, ETL and DW in a business network environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Conduct appropriate functional and performance testing to identify bottlenecks and data quality issues.
  • Implement Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), accumulating snapshot, and periodic snapshot fact tables for ETL processes.
  • Conceptualizing, designing, and developing solution automation and optimization across all areas of Data Warehousing/ETL maintenance and science model deployments.
  • Undertake ER data modelling and multi-dimensional data modelling after gathering data as per user requirements and analysing said data and information.
  • Create new and modify existing SSRS reports for operational reporting.
  • Work collaboratively to design, document and ensure continuous improvement of SDLC best practices for data in the cloud.
  • Configure Data Entity Export to database in Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance & Operations and Microsoft CRM for exporting various data entities (with change tracking) into warehouse.
  • Provide business users the data required for Metrics and Analysis (M&A).
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Automate ETL process using Server Agent and/or console interface commands.
  • Create basic Power BI reporting

Job Qualifications:
  • 5+ years overall IT experience, with familiarity with commercial ERP systems.
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQL for querying, moving, and manipulating data.
  • Experience with writing stored procedures 

Nice to Have
  • C# scripts and Fetch XML Queries relating to SSIS and SSRS
  • SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2014/2017
  • Business Intelligence Studio
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain, Dynamics 365 CE
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, DAX.
