REMOTE Software Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester

Our direct end-client is looking to hire a REMOTE "Senior Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester (SQA) for a 9-12 month CONTRACT

  QA Testeer will perform two areas:

1. Building and using queries to compare SQL Server DB data target data with the data in source systems to identify anomalies and errors.

2.      Testing enterprise APIs by comparing API inputs and results with data in a SQL database.

The successful candidate must have a solid knowledge of SQL with the ability to query, data mine and validate.
Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools 

Must be located in Eastern or Central Time Zone
Monday-Friday (40 hour work week)
  • 5-7 years related experience
  • Minimum 6 years experience working with testing and automation frameworks.
  • Must have exp working on SQL Server platform and SQL exp
  • Understanding/familiarity of the following (DOES NOT NEED ALL OF THESE): OS - LINUX, UNIX, Windows Server Environment; Front End – JAVA, .NET; Database – MS SQL, JBOSS, J2EE, Oracle and Mainframe.
  • Experience with functional, automation and Load and Performance tools such as IBM Rational or HP Testing Suite.
  • Knowledge and implementation of testing best practices.
  • Experience with performance, scalability and stress testing.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.

The Senior SQA Test Analyst is a technical and supervisory role that will carry out procedures to ensure all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements. Evaluate requirements and identify the test required to deliver quality results. Estimation of effort required to support data gathering and testing with a focus on manual and automated testing to drive maintainable, reusable and efficient test results; this effort should contribute to seamless, predictable and accurate delivery of IT Services. Perform work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
1. Plan and lead tasks, and supervises others. Provide guidance and support while mentoring other team members on the SQA practices.
2. Execute and validate projects of medium to high complexity.
3. Fluent with the software testing process and methodology from Unit through User Acceptance Testing to include: Load/Performance, Stress, System and Integration, Regression and Automation testing.
4. Participate in requirements sessions / review technical documentation to confirm consistency with program operations. Comprehend and contribute to high level requirements and designs.
5. Skilled at developing test-effort estimates (Level of Effort) and assessing the results of each test cycle ensuring it was performed according to the test case/scripts.
1. Software Testing / Quality Certification (ISTQB, ETC) a plus.
3. Familiarity with Open-Source Tools a plus.
4. Agile experience a plus.
