seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the management of a cloud-native lab environment. This individual will work closely with engineers from CableLabs and participating vendors to ensure that the CableLabs next generation mobile core has the needed configuration and functionality to support both internal CableLabs innovation projects and proofs of concept (POCs) as well as vendor’s development efforts.
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for working with the various projects to determine new requirements and work with the vendors to come up with solutions and designs to support new capabilities. This individual must be comfortable in a lab environment and have strong problem-solving skills to analyze various hardware, software, and networking issues. This position focuses on the deployment of cloud-native solutions into a data center type environment, with a heavy emphasis on wired and wireless networking.
Duties and responsibilities
Required Skills
Experience with Linux system administration and networking.
Expertise in running Kubernetes on a bare metal Linux environment.
