Voice Cisco Engineer

Our direct client is looking to bring on REMOTE Voice Cisco Engineer for a 1-year contract role.  Client is looking to do Contract to Hire
  • Monday-Friday (40 hour work week)
  • Hours:  8:00 am -- 5 pm 
  • On-call once every 7 weeks
  • 100% Remote

There is a Strong potential for this position to convert into a permanent hire role either before the 1 year timeline or shortly afterwards.

You will be responsible for deployment and implementation of networks including cisco phones. 
They use Cisco Call manger 12.x


The engineer must have knowledge how to troubleshoot voice issues and how data flow within a network.

Skills
  • 3 + years of Cisco
  • 3-5 years of Voice Experience,
  • Cisco Call manger experience
  • troubleshoot voice issues and how data flow within a network.  
  • support and configuration of complex Call Center and Call Manager environments.
  • Proficiency in Cisco Call Center technologies such as CVP, UCCE, IVR, call flow design & development, recording & reports.
  • Strong Knowledge in VoIP Telephony, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Voicemail, dial plan designs and implementation, Cisco networking of switch/routers, voice gateway configurations.
  • Support third party applications integrated with VoIP system and SIP/PRI circuits administration.

Candidate responsibilities:
  • Provides Basic technical hardware and software support, maintenance and troubleshooting of WAN/LAN network devices.
  • Interacts with staff and management, as well as 3rd party vendors to manage the day-to-day operation scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Assists staff with basic technical design, optimization, monitoring, testing, evaluation, integration, installation and implementation of Network, Infrastructure and Application systems and components as directed. Design’s network and systems to best meet customer-specific solutions, customizations, and requirements, while maintaining company infrastructure standards and policies.
  • Responsible for high level support and configuration of complex Call Center and Call Manager environments. Proficiency in Cisco Call Center technologies such as CVP, UCCE, IVR, call flow design & development, recording & reports. Strong Knowledge in VoIP Telephony, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Voicemail, dial plan designs and implementation, Cisco networking of switch/routers, voice gateway configurations. Support third party applications integrated with VoIP system and SIP/PRI circuits administration.
  • Support customers and work with managed vendors to improve system’s functionality and resiliency. The priority of this role is to focus on projects and system’s maintenance / improvement; however, will assist with operation when needed. The Sr. IT Professional takes the lead role to troubleshoot issues and problems within related IT teams and manage change and ensures quality delivery of application availability and contribute to the successful accomplishment of the mission of the department.
