Atrilogy's Direct Client is looking for a Scrum Master to join their team on a 100% Remote Direct Hire basis.
Position Title: Scrum Master
Location: Las Vegas or REMOTE in one of the following states (Nevada, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania) due to gaming licenses candidate will need to get upon being hired. Some minimal travel may be required to Las Vegas or other client properties
Term: Direct Hire
Purpose and function of job. (No longer than 3 sentences.). The role is responsible for guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values, while being a real-world agile pragmatic servant leader. The role will also contribute to relevant delivery and making sure that the everything the team does is relevant to our customer and our markets. The role also will aid the durability of our architecture by creating space and accountability to build solutions. The role is a key component in building-up the team around them and engendering an environment of courage and transparent conversations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

Guides the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
Guides the team on how to get the most out of self-organization
Guides the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum framework
Assesses the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
Removes impediments by finding the right personnel for each task
Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged
Emphasizes team problem solving and healing when issues arise
Facilitates getting work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Supports and educates the Product Owner especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
Provides support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
Engenders an environment of courage and transparency that leads to team chemistry and a better product

Education, experience, skills required, equipment used.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related discipline; significant applied experience or a combination of education and experience may be substituted.
First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one (1) year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Is skilled and knowledgeable of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
Has knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (i.e.: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses
Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II)
Experiencing with managing more than 1 concurrent Agile team at a time
Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two (2) years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
Previous experience as a team lead
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Experience with creating reports or other visuals to show team progress, velocity, and capacity
ITIL V3 Awareness Training.
