QA Test Manager [ Digital Banking ] - REMOTE

Our direct end-client in the financial services industry in seeking a Quality & Test Engineering Manager to join their team as a full-time employee/ direct-hire to work 100% remote from anywhere across the United Sates.

About the role-

We have a great opportunity for an innovative and effective Quality & Test Engineering Manager with experience building a testing strategy, approach & team. 
We are hiring a Quality & Test Engineering Manager with strong Quality & testing team leadership experience to lead the end-to-end testing effort for the digital bank implementation. 
The successful candidate should have 10+ years of experience in Quality & testing roles and 3+ years experience leading a Quality & Testing team. 
Knowledge of banking is strongly preferred.    

Responsibilities:
  • Define overall test strategy for digital bank implementation, including the quality related processes, policies, roles, and responsibilities to meet the organization’s business requirements.
  • Define and implement tools needed to support the overall QA & testing effort.
  • Works closely with technology, product & experience leaders to develop/implement overall quality maturity roadmap and plan for each solution functional area.
  • Develop, publish, and implement software quality assurance plans, test conditions and test cases.
  • Identify and understand QA policies and procedures and incorporate them as needed into the digital banking team’s QA policies and procedures.
  • Establish KPIs for QA execution and review progress toward solution quality assurance plans regularly with cross functional leadership.
  • Define automated testing needs & make recommendations for automated testing tools and approach.  Implement automated testing.
  • Hire & lead QA testing team. 
  • Lead execution of end to end testing, resulting in a high quality solution with minimal production incidents. 
  • Define and manage defect reporting process with vendors.  Keep defect systems in synch with vendor defect tracking systems.  Report on vendor defect metrics. 
  • Establish quality control standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor, evaluate, manage and execute audit processes to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate and facilitate quality assurance activities across projects with project managers.
  • Provides guidance and subject matter expertise to technology, experience and product teams on quality assurance methodologies and processes and educates them on their responsibilities/accountabilities to achieve on-time and quality deliverables.
  • Makes recommendations and directs improvements to the software development lifecycle process.
  • Analyze and identify trends in QA & technology performance metrics.
  • Provide training on established processes and policies.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role, with 3+ years experience in a QA leadership role
  • Banking/Financial Services experience is preferred 
  • Previous experience in an Agile environment for banking, financial services, or credit card services preferred
  • Proficiency in standard office software such as MS Office, Visio and JIRA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive management, individual contributors
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, customer service, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
  • Strong ability to learn new solutions to build an understanding of the end-to-end digital banking solution
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or other related discipline
