Knowledge Manager/ Technical Writer

Our direct client is looking to for Knowledge Manager/ Technical Writer for a 6-months contract. This is 100% Remote Contract

This role is fully remote but can work any 8 hours work during the 6am PST- 6pm PST time window.

This role does have an opportunity for conversion. Manager is looking for someone who is up to date on technology including experience/knowledge with Salesforce Knowledge Base & Salesforce Community. A candidate with basic accounting and banking vocabulary is a must. Manager would also like a candidate that has a charismatic personality.*** The DF Knowledge Specialist is responsible for all aspects of maintaining a multi-media knowledgebase of information for internal and external (client facing) audiences. The knowledgebase contains product materials for reference, training, and troubleshooting, and procedural guidelines; all drafted in a variety of methods such as written documentation, videos, and in-product self-guided tutorials. The DF Knowledge Specialist collaborates on the development and design of the knowledgebase by providing input on the content, style, format, and delivery platform. They work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to capture the latest updates and ensure content accuracy. The goal of the DF Knowledge Specialist is to provide all audiences with clear and accurate information in a consistent voice and style.

Responsibilities
1. Drafting and updating content in the knowledgebase via written articles in tools such as Salesforce Knowledge and self-guided tutorials with tools such as WalkMe.
2. Working with SMEs and product development to incorporate new features and product changes into the knowledgebase.
3. Determining the appropriate style, format, and delivery platform for each topic.
4. Monitoring the success of knowledge adoption by distributing surveys and analyzing application data.
5. Researching digital tools and technologies to leverage for the knowledgebase and working with the necessary technical teams to design and implement the product for the appropriate audience.
6. Reviewing product release notes and other content as required, providing a consistent voice in client communications.

Additional Scope/Responsibilities
 1. Employ Agile roadmap/development methodology to manage project lifecycles when interfacing with other development teams, e.g., Salesforce Center of Excellence 
2. Perform research for technology solutions as requested by managers or leadership and present results with recommendations and analysis 
3. Monitor project timelines with accountability for delivery dates 
4. Provide recommendations to other departments such as Product or Client Services on features in knowledge tools (e.g., WalkMe or the Salesforce Community) that will enhance the client experience

Basic Qualifications
 1. Minimum 4 years' experience as a knowledge management specialist, technical writer or documentation writer 
2. Minimum 4 years' experience in a technology, accounting or client service setting 
3. Minimum 4 years' experience using industry standard documentation or knowledge management tools (e.g., WalkMe, Salesforce Lightening Knowledge, SharePoint)

Skills and Knowledge
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field preferred
2. Significant experience working with knowledge management tools such as Salesforce Lightning Knowledge.
3. Significant experience building self-guided tutorials and self-help resources with tools such as WalkMe Editor.
4. Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility in priority as dictated by demand.
5. Proven strength in time management, with the ability to complete work within established deadlines.
6. Ability to independently determine the appropriate distribution method for knowledge.
7. Basic understanding of financial accounting vocabulary.
