Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Responsibilities: The Global Analytics and AI team is accelerating client’s impact by bringing together data, tech, and data science and build game-changing products and services for our customers. We are looking for a Machine Learning (ML) Engineer to support the development of our AI platform and products to serve the needs of clients, including those in the financial services. Our team is tackling key questions, like - How can we increase the rigor and scalability of our loan originations modeling approach? How can we tackle important issues in the lending space today like bias, fairness and explainable AI? As a growing team, we embrace a start-up mentality while operating in a large organization. Role accountabilities and key activities:
Develop and maintain a scalable machine learning framework for data science products
Develop scalable pipelines, tools, and services for building production-ready machine learning models
Work closely with our data scientists to pilot our products with beta customers
Maintain our culture of high-quality code and full CI/CD automation
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Experience with common data science algorithms and processes (e.g., xgboost, hyperparameter tuning)
Advanced knowledge in Python/PySpark and SQL
Record of building and maintaining large-scale machine learning systems in production
Familiarity with Python AIOHTTP or similar for writing asynchronous REST API backends
Comfortable supporting troubleshooting and triage of production issues when needed
Strong test writing discipline in standard development tools and processes, e.g., git, Jira, Slack
Interest or previous experience in financial services and/or credit modeling
3+ years of industry experience as a hand-on practitioner of machine learning engineering
Bachelors in computer science, engineering, or related field
