Data Center is based there.
candidate to be on site much more for the first 3-6 months so they are familiar with the environment
Then Hybrid onsite / remote after.
The client is looking to expand their team with a dynamic individual with strong technical background who wants to provide solutions to new and interesting problems. We are seeking a qualified Network Administrator to join our team. This position requires expert knowledge of networking and system management for our Enterprise environment.
Primary responsibilities of this role include troubleshooting network issues, configuration of network hardware, and monitoring computer networks to identify performance improvements.
Min 3 – 5 years of Network Admin experience Min 3 + years of Cisco CCNA is Nice to have
Assist in network design and implementation
Configure Network devices including Switches, Wireless Access Points, Routers, Firewalls
Ensuring all network devices are monitored with proper alerting.
Evaluate new equipment and technology for potential use in current and future projects.
Assist with implementing and managing disaster recovery and back up
Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades
Keep all networking equipment up to date with appropriate patches that are properly tested before going into production.
Proactively monitor Systems for Improvements
Document and maintain accurate configuration information and infrastructure schematics of all networking components and dependencies.
Provide Tier 3/4 Support for Ticket escalation
Provide 24x7 emergency response and assistance for all necessary system problems and issues
Advanced understanding of TCP/IP Networking
Experience with Enterprise Switching, Routing, Firewall Management including specifically, ASA Firewalls, ASR Routers, and Catalyst Switches
Experience with Network device monitoring and ticketing systems (SNMP, Syslog, etc)
Knowledge of IT / Network Security Best Practices
Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
Experience with networking requirements of virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, HyperV)
Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019 Administration
Experience with the following tools: PRTG, Forescout Counter Act and Alienvault
