Our direct client is looking to expand our team with a dynamic individual with strong technical background who wants to provide solutions to new and interesting problems. We are seeking a qualified Senior Network Engineer to join our team. This position requires expert knowledge related to planning, designing, and managing our Enterprise network. Services include wireless network services, data, voice and video services. Primary responsibilities of this role include implementing high -level network infrastructures, configuration, troubleshooting the problems, and administering the security of the entirety of the network system.
CCNP is Nice to have. This is a heavy Cisco position. Candidate must have experience with New Generation Firewalls (which is different than ASA firewalls). They also need to have experience with Cisco Fire Power. Overall candidate experience should include Firewalls, routers, switching and everything Cisco. The candidates need to have overall firewalls, routers, switching and everything Cisco. They need to have great communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with VMWare is important too.
Engineer and Design technical solutions and network connectivity for deployment of digital media.
Design and Configure Network devices including Switches, Wireless Access Points, Routers, Firewalls etc.
Ensuring all network devices are monitored with properly alerting.
Evaluate new equipment and technology for potential use in current and future projects.
Coordinate technical support for customers and personnel for all company systems and products.
Prepare and conduct training for customers and company personnel on existing and new products.
Keep all networking equipment up to date with appropriate patches that are properly tested before going into production.
Proactively monitor Systems for upgrade and Improvements
Provide 24x7 emergency response and assistance for all necessary system problems and issues
Document and maintain accurate configuration information and infrastructure schematics of all networking components and dependencies. Log all issue and work in the companies back-end systems.
Ensure reported issues are resolved in a timely fashion and documented properly.
Provide Tier 3/4 Support for Ticket escalation
Assist with quality assurance and testing procedures.
Expert Level - Understanding of TCP/IP Networking and VPN
Experience with Enterprise Switching, Routing, Firewall Management including specifically Cisco NGFW, ASA Firewalls, ASR Routers and Nexus 9k
Experience with Network device monitoring and ticketing systems (SNMP, Syslog, etc)
Experience in network routing protocols such as EIGRP and BGP
Experience IPTV, Multicast and/or OTT
Experience building BOMs/Quotes and meeting and managing project timelines
Knowledge of IT / Network Security Best Practices
Experience with networking requirements of virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, HyperV)
Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019 Administration
Bachelor’s degree or above is preferred for this position
CCNA, CCNP or equivalent Cisco skillset and experience
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent problem-solving skill set
Self-Motivated and curious with aptitude and drive for learning new software and Hardware
• Ability to Travel (Locally and/or Domestic) up to 10%
