Digital Product Manager

Our direct client is looking for a Digital Product Manager for a 1 year + contract. It is 100% Remote.

Multi year contract – 1 year contract to start. Can extend to multi year

Basic Overview Qualifications
  • 4 + years as a Product Manager.
  • Prior working experience in Digital Media.
  • Publishing CMS and Mobile app experience.
  • Experience working in an engineering group.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Flexibility in working with multiple work streams.
  • Video or Ad technology experience, a plus.

The Product Manager will be a member of the team, contributing to the strategy, implementation, and maintenance of internal and consumer-facing features and functionality across client’s portfolio of digital offerings, especially our highly customized CMS and website front end. 

The Product Manager will work closely with Product team, Program Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to help define, document, implement, and test strategic and operational priorities.

  • Min 4 – 5 years of Product Management experience
  • Min 2 years of Mobile app experience (recent)
  • 2+ years’ experience with digital products, technologies, platforms, and development is a must, preferably for a media company
  • Experience with customized CMS platforms
  • Has 4+ years of experience as a product manager with proven software development experience
  • Understands the ad-supported web, native app, and OTT landscape
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
  • Proven Product experience working directly with Sales, Design, Program Management, and Engineering teams to build and ship software products
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience working in Agile Software Development and Product Management methodologies, as well as the tools, and practices (gathering and writing requirements, user acceptance testing, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, and collaborate and manage projects within a large geographically diverse company
  • Ideal candidates will have a solid media/publishing business acumen, be motivated and passionate, and operate effectively in independent and team-collaboration settings alike
  • Mobile app development background a bonus
  • Ad/Revenue operations and reporting a bonus

  • Collaborate with other Product team members on the day-to-day Product Management operations of various product lines
  • Gather and author clear and actionable product requirements via user stories and technical documentation
  • Use a variety of reporting and project management tools including Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, etc., to communicate and document updates to the Product portfolio
  • Contribute to and communicate the Product group’s roadmap and status updates to stakeholders
  • Contribute to strategy & planning based on learnings from analytics, user testing, and competitive audits
  • Interface closely with the Program Management and Engineering teams in planning, developing, maintaining, and optimizing product lines
  • Manage end-to-end feature rollouts and maintenance including:
    • Requirements gathering
    • Feature Definition (User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, etc.)
    • Conducting user acceptance testing
    • Creating detailed product artifacts such as BRDs and training documentation
    • Intake, triage, and follow-through on stakeholder bug/feature reports via systems like Zendesk
