Job Role: Junior/Mid-Level Machine Learning Developer
Work location: 100% Remote
Client location: Costa Mesa, CA
Assignment Duration:  10 to 14+ Months with strong possibilities of Permanent Conversion

Position Summary
Client’s Data Science & Analytics team is focused on understanding strategic business objectives, relating objectives to measurable KPIs, and delivering actionable insights that promote continuous performance improvements. As a Machine Learning (ML) Developer for the Data Science Team, you will collaborate with a tight-knit team to resolve the challenges of stakeholders across the business. You should be able to think outside of the box, take pride in the quality of your work, have a solid understanding of Amazon cloud services including SageMaker, EMR, Lambda, and proficient in programming in Python.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement end to end ML data pipeline
Develop machine learning algorithms with huge data sets to solve challenging business questions.
Deploy ML models to applications

Required Experience
Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Machine Learning, Data science, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
2+ years of work experience in a quantitative field such as data science or statistical modelling using cloud computing services such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
Experience with statistical modelling techniques such as regression, support vector machines, and neural nets.
Experience with cluster-computing framework, such as Hadoop or Spark.
Experience with analytical tools and programming languages such Python or R. Working knowledge of SQL.
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Experience
Solid understanding of front-end technologies
Experience with B2C, high-traffic websites, focusing on ecommerce
