Lead Architect

Our Direct Client is looking to hire an Architect.

Position : Lead Architect
6 Months Contract to Hire

This position requires a strong, adaptable, and innovative self-starter with M.S. or Ph.D. level education in machine learning with experience in communications technologies, either wired or wireless. Strong coding skills are a must.  It requires direct hands-on and simulation experience with the application of machine learning to communication systems, networks, and distributed sensing.

Duties and responsibilities

Ideation and develop innovative concepts based on state-of-the-art, including LTE/5G, Wi-Fi, sensor and IoT networks
Contribute to innovation projects that optimize and enhance integration of wireless, and sensor networks, with emphasis on automation and self-healing of such networks using artificial intelligence and machine learning
Coding, modeling, simulation, data collection and signal processing
System implementation and prototyping
Support proof of concept demonstrations, field trial testing
Collaborate with cable operators, vendors, and academic community
Co-development and co-innovation projects
Support academic partnerships, industry regulatory policy experts to execute and publish related research

Required Skills

Strong coding skills and familiarity with machine learning workflows and model training and deployment
Proficient in MATLAB and network simulation tools like NS3, and Mininet
In-depth thinking and analytical ability to tackle complex problems and provide creative technical solutions
In-depth understanding of distributed optical fiber sensing principles, systems and applications; knowledge of sensor fusion is a bonus
Industry experience using programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, Javascript.
Well-versed in Linux or embedded systems programming
Familiarity with database technology and distributed messaging systems
Experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras, and Scikit-learn
 Familiarity with containerization, dev-ops and version control in teams

Required Experience

M.S. or Ph.D. degree in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or data science or similar field
5+ years of lab expertise in wired and/or wireless communications
Basic familiarity with optical, cable and wireless access networks with ability to extract relevant information from the corresponding standards and specifications (DOCSIS, Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, xPON)
Familiarity with testing, debugging and evaluation of communication systems
