** 70% development, 15% DevOps, 15% software testing **
Job Summary
This role will be a critical enabler for the automation surrounding the Web Platform vertical including integration testing, load testing, deployment, overall CI/CD pipelines and for the adoption of public cloud services and the integration of them into the overall solution. You will be responsible for implementing automation to enhance on premise CI/CD pipelines and extend existing pipelines into the cloud. Additionally, you will develop toolsets to migrate and maintain our new infrastructure in AWS.
The Web Platform team builds, maintains and deploys the web applications and APIs that power the second largest CDN in the world. The team provides customers with performant APIs and easy-to-use UIs for administration and analytics, as well as providing mission-critical internal management services. This team also helps provide industry leading content delivery, application security, edge compute and streaming capabilities via a global network and global team. The platform is trusted by emerging brands and Fortune 500 companies alike. Key Responsibilities:
- Improve the consistency, safety and speed of deployments by constant iteration on automation
- Collaboratively problem-solve issues with the adoption and integration of public cloud services
- Enable, through tooling and education, other engineers to improve their development velocity and best practice
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years professional experience in a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role or related, such as DevOps
- 3 years deploying and managing applications in AWS with a strong security mindset
- 3 years experience with SaltStack, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar automated toolsets scripting configuration and managing infrastructure
- 3 years experience developing automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar automation server
- 3 years experience working with C#, including experience building and debugging application code
- Proficiency automating and administering Microsoft Windows Server and Linux/UNIX operating systems
- Strong knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
- Deep understanding of networking and internet protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS
- Database experience using SQL and NoSQL data stores
- Ability to architect, lead, and implement solutions both individually and as part of a team
BONUS POINTS
- Experience building pipelines using Packer, Vagrant, and Docker
- Scripting experience in bash and PowerShell
- AWS Solutions Architect and/or DevOps Engineer Professional certifications
- Experience with Nuget Server and Octopus Deploy
