Lead Software Architect

Our Direct Client is looking to hire a Software Architect.

Position : Software Architect
Location : Louisville CO (Remote Open)
Duration : Long Term Role


Software Architect to join its team focused on building an agile network framework which is virtualized, converged and portable.  They will provide technical leadership in the areas of virtualization, SDN, NFV management and orchestration (MANO) and multi-access edge computing (MEC) and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver compelling service orchestration, automation and assurance solutions to our members.  Knowledge and experience with open network automation platform (ONAP) with a must.  The candidate must be an out-of-box thinker with a proven record of devising innovative solutions to complex problems

Lead R&D project(s) in developing a NFV MANO platform for deploying and managing various wireline and wireless services
Lead SW development activities to implement service orchestration and assurance features such as network function modeling & onboarding, data collection & analytics and closed-loop automation
Lead member outreach activities, including proof-of-concepts and demonstrations, to gather additional requirements and plan project roadmap
Translate broad business and strategic requirements into a set of actionable technical requirements driving network architecture decisions

Required Skills

Hands-on knowledge and experience in Docker, Helm charts, Java and Python
Hands-on knowledge and experience in the Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP), including onboarding VNFs and designing services
Knowledge and experience in SDN, NFV orchestration
Knowledge and experience in virtualization environments (VMware, RHOSP and etc.) and implementations (VMs, containers)
Knowledge in dimensioning and deploying in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and etc.)
Familiarity with 3GPP NR CT/SA and ETSI ISG NFV specifications
Familiarity with cable network architecture and HFC plant is a plus
Ability to perform and deliver, individually and collaboratively, with minimum supervision
Must be a self-starter who anticipates and is proactive

Required Experience

Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science
5+ years of experience in software architecture and development for a network vendor or operator
Experience in client-facing and vendor management roles
