Support Technician-Robotics

Location: Fairfield, OH
Atrilogy’s client is seeking a Support Engineer for their Fairfield, OH location. This is a 6+ Month contract opportunity.
 
The Support Engineer is a position dedicated to our ROC (Robotics Operations Center), supporting and monitoring the health and productivity of all robots deployed in the field. This role acts as an escalation point for the Support Technicians who are onsite at customer locations, serving as a second layer of support for customers during all hours of fulfillment operations.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as internal escalation point for all issues arising from robots and the robotic system
  • Employ health and performance monitoring tools to proactively determine issues and resolutions before they materially affect operations
  • Act as Tier 2 support for our onsite Support Technicians
  • Maintain continuous availability and responsiveness when working with other teams to resolve issues
  • Serve as remote support for all robot and robotic systems maintenance in the field
  • Maintain and continuously update the company knowledge base with new processes and solutions as they occur
  • Document and track incidents in ROC ticketing system
  • Promote and conduct good housekeeping practices
  • Maintain a customer-centric, safety-first attitude
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High energy, self-motivation, and a dedication to excellence - motivated to take on difficult and rewarding challenges
  • Strong familiarity with Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu preferred)
  • Flexibility with work hours and work days
  • Previous experience monitoring and supporting a nationwide/ global infrastructure for health and application performance required; Tier 1 or 2 app support, NOC engineer, or systems admin/engineer experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills - maintain consistent, open communication with other team members and members of supporting departments
  • Ability to prioritize and logistically support multiple production environments at a fast and dynamic pace
  • Skilled trade training or equivalent technical expertise in Industrial Maintenance or Robotics required; AS/RS experience preferred
  • Ambitious, curious, and eager to learn - excited about robotics and logistics
  • Expert knowledge of Wifi networking preferred
  • Proven ability to work successfully with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with customers, peers, management, contractors, and vendors
  • Expert troubleshooting skills from systems issues to robot failure analysis - robot recovery will be a top priority
  • Able to correlate multiple symptoms and present data regarding high-priority incidents
  • Ability to escalate and coordinate inter-departmental troubleshooting efforts
