The Purpose of Your Role :
 
You are responsible for bringing engineering subject matter expertise to lead the effort in helping create and build experiences to allow for digital appointment scheduling for Fidelity clients.  You will help enhance and streamline how Fidelity’s highly talented Financial Consultants, Planners, and Relationship Managers work with our most valuable clients. As a member of the agile squad, you will help break down complex technical problems into small components which can be delivered over two week increments while helping mentor and coach junior technical resources on the team. 
 
The Expertise We’re Looking For :
  • BS/BA degree required; BS Computer Science preferred
  • Strong experience with RESTful and SOAP-based web services development
  • Proven experience developing web applications
  • Strong software design and programming fundamentals (C#, Spring MVC, Angular JS) 
  • Responsive Web application design experience
  • SQL Server, Transact SQL, Stored Procedures, Indexes and data service development
  • Expertise in configuring client side development environments, build tools and tests utilizing modern client side programming concepts
  • Code Quality/Coverage Tools (e.g. Sonar)
  • Ability to work effectively in global team distributed across geographic locations: 
  • Seeing complex challenges from multiple perspectives, and leaning in to solve independently or with others
  • Dedication to high quality, balanced with rapid pace of delivery – delivering technology changes to end users every two weeks, and as frequent as daily
  • Experience using the Microsoft .Net suite of development tools (Visual Studio)
  • Front end responsive development using Angular JS, C#, Visual Studio MVC
  • Microsoft SQL and Transact SQL knowledge
  • Experience using Jira, stash, and Selenium
  • Test Automation development using Selenium to automate the development testing process from unit testing, integration testing, interoperability testing using
Your Responsibilities :
  • Develop an online appointment scheduling web application for our customers using an existing appointment setting product, its business logic, libraries, functions, and data services
  • Develop ‘Responsive’ applications capable of working on any device
  • Develop the application so that we can show or hide (lookup) content based on the type of appointment being booked (content items are built into the core product)
  • Integrate data into the application from services, APIs, to bring Fidelity data into the online booking experience
  • Practice secure code development and testing
  • Achieve the acceptance criteria for each story on time
  • Create efficient, organized, tested, and documented code that meets team standards
  • Translate architectural standards into application level design
  • Follow team’s Dev-Ops practices
  • Experience in using efficient methodologies (e.g. Agile) and driving development platforms
  • Proven experience in bridging the needs and pace across business and IT teams
  • Excellent facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to mentor and coach junior developers
