BOM (Bill of Materials) / Document Control Specialist

Location: Peachtree City, GA
A premiere client of Atrilogy is looking to hire a BOM/Document Control Specialist on a contract-hire basis to be based out of their Peachtree City, GA office.  This is located outside of Atlanta.  
This is a Monday-Friday (onsite work week)
Onsite Interview is required

MUST have exp in part release, bill of material releases and change management. 


 
ACCOUNTABILITIES & JOB DESCRIPTION


The Document Control specialist is responsible for participating in the administration of engineering configuration management procedures and documentation.Supports and interfacing daily with cross functional teams including: Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing and Program Management.You will be working within the Engineering Release Team. Client needs some with previous Manufacturing BOM experience AND and has worked in a PLM system (ideally Agile, but; will consider others)

PEOPLE
Interface daily with cross functional team including engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing and program management.
Coordinates with engineering customer team to configure and process Deviations, Engineer Change Requests, Mechanical Part Releases, Mechanical Part Qualifications and Change Orders to include: (Design Change Orders, Engineering Change Orders, and Product Change Notices) to generate and maintain Bill of Materials, with customer quality as the primary focus in a timely manner with minimal errors.
 
PROCESS
  • Generates new model number releases per established guidelines.
  • Analyzes data and content for accuracy within the scope of document control work instructions.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.
  • Supports Control Tower Meetings to discuss in process changes.
  • Provides feedback to originators of Agile change objects to ensure correct processing.

PRODUCT
  • Supports system testing.
  • Confirms data transfer from Agile into Glovia
  • Requires special focus for Initial Release ECOs to ensure BOMs are initially set up correctly per requirements
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma and five (5) years of previous administrative experience required.
  • Previous work experience with Product Lifecycle Management system such as Agile is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, databases, etc. as required.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing business preferred
  • Must have the knowledge and skill base to interpret technical documentation.
  • Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as appropriate to the position.
