Job Description: 
  • Our direct client is seeking to hire a seasoned “Network Engineer” for a direct hire role at their HQ in Atlanta, GA.  They are located in the heart of Midtown.
  • The  Network Engineer will work in a fast-paced and evolving team, working in both a physical data center as well as an AWS environment. This individual will touch all phases of the network lifecycle, from preparation to optimization. 
  • Must be available for an onsite Monday-Friday work week
  • Must be local and available for onsite interview
  • Your will be working for the leading provider of intelligent transit solutions (ITS) spanning demand response, fixed route, payment, mobility and on-demand transit solutions.  They blend powerful technology and excellent service to equip transit agencies with the right tools to provide accessibility and mobility for every rider in their community.  
  • The ideal person has a deep knowledge of networking, AWS and the ability to balance day-to-day tasks with project-based tasks.  It also requires a strong understanding of network protocols, security best practices and the ability to leverage tools designed to reveal, diagnose, and resolve network issues.
 Skills and experience required to be successful:
  • Load balancing technologies like Citrix NetScaler, and AWS ELB/ALB
  • Familiarity building fault tolerant networks in both a physical data center and in AWS
  • Site to site VPN – configuration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to upgrade and optimize switches, routers, and firewalls, with a focus on Cisco technology
  • Ability to build and modify AWS Security Groups
  • Ability to configure and monitor an IPS, producing management-level reports
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows networking - configuration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of security testing and verification, producing management-level reports showing current security posture
  • Hardening of all layers of OSI model
  • Candidate will occasionally be needed after hours as necessary
 Preferred Experience:
  • Amazon Certified Advanced Networking certificate
  • Cisco CCNP or equivalent experience/education
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO-27001
  • ITIL framework
