Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Location: Seal Beach, CA
Our Direct Client in Seal Beach, CA is hiring a  Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in a full time role. The client offers full benefits, bonus opportunities and profit sharing.
 
Previous experience in Banking is necessary for this role.

Job Summary
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will form and manage the Information Security Department, a strategic office responsible for policies, standards, procedures and oversight of security operations management.  The CISO will establish, implement, and oversee compliance with the Bank’s Information Security Program.  The CISO will monitor the use of the Bank’s network/hardware/software/security systems to ensure compliance with Bank Policy and federal regulations. The Chief Information Security Officer will also chair the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and be responsible for managing incident response in case of a security breach at the Bank.
 
Essential Duties
 
Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. Acts as the control point for the office to ensure that all CIP, BSA, OFAC requirements, procedures and time frames are met.
 
  • Develop Information Security Strategic Plan and Program for the enterprise
  • Design and update information security policies and standards
  • Provide interpretations of current policies related to specific situations as they arise
  • Develop business cases for security initiatives
  • Plan, execute and evaluate security programs
  • Monitor security trends and legislation locally and nationally
  • Prepare cost and budget estimates
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Oversee incident response planning and security breach investigations
  • Supervise development of security awareness and training programs
  • Keep Bank management apprised of security trends and vulnerabilities
  • Perform periodic tests to ensure compliance with network/hardware/software security standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the bank’s Information Security program is current, meets regulatory requirements and provides appropriate safety measures to protect the bank’s information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 Education and Experience
  • Bachelors in computer science or equivalent required.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) required.
  • 10 years of Information Security experience.
  • Must have the proven ability to serve as an effective member of a senior management team, be an effective leader to a team of highly trained personnel and consultants; form, manage and lead advisory committees and interact effectively with law enforcement agencies, risk and data managers, auditors, consultants, vendors,  and stakeholders.
