Software Engineer

Location: Durham, NC
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to join others in the Engineering Efficiency & Assurance Chapter as we influence Squads (Scrum teams) towards greater empowerment, efficiency, and quality.  You will report to a Chapter Leader (your manager), whose primary focus is to help you develop in your career and skills as we drive towards increased automation and continuous delivery.   Chapter Leaders drive the “how”: skills & mastery; while your Squad drives the “what”.  This is the next evolution of Agile development!

Our Digital Capability team is looking for solution based engineers with a passion for developing easy-to-use, customer focused APIs and capabilities which power Client's web and mobile experience platforms.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 7+ years of Java/J2EE technologies: Core Java, Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate, Mevan 
  • 6+ years of hands on software development experience in Java RESTful Web services and API solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Spring and experience with Spring Boot.
  • Experience with integrating APIs with backends such as Oracle 
  • Strong hands on with API Rest Web services 
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery – Maven and Jenkins
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM) is a plus
  • Any experience in developing data applications in Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
  • Knowledge in Cloud computing, Dockers and Kubernates 
  • Desired: Angular, AWS 
Must Haves
  • Proficient in Java, API, and building RESTful Web services
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), XML/JSON, and JavaScript.
  • High level design, development, deployment, and integration of REST API’s
