Software Engineer in Test I

Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Our Client is looking for Software Engineer in Test I in Ann Arbor, MI for a 12 month contract.

This position is for a Software Engineer in Test I helping set the tone for app quality and automation for iOS.

We're looking for someone who embodies the following:

- Has a real passion for beautifully designed app experiences.
- Is excited to pick up, learn and run with new frameworks as they are released.
- Loves all aspects of application development, from brainstorming and design to implementation and launch.

Qualifications:

- BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience developing well architected software in a fast-moving environment (weekly releases).

Preferred Experience:

- Writing unit tests, XCTest Framework, UIAutomation, LayoutTest, KIF, A/B testing
- Swift 3 & 4. Objective C
- iOS design patterns such as MVC, MVVM


General Responsibilities:

Code moderately complex tests to implement a test design. Set up a test automation and execution framework, implements key steps that are used by several test cases, and put together the key steps to build an automated suite of test cases. Schedule and implement automated software tests, identify and solve problems at the component or feature level, and actively participate in multiple functional areas. Propose methods for improvements. Understand the needs of customers and groups dependent on the work of the team, and use this understanding to drive test automation. Become proficient with test automation tool used by the group. Adhering to testing schedules, execute test cases, report results, and collects metrics on testing. Involved from product inception, proactively look for potential quality issues, contribute to Technical Reviews and Root Cause Analysis sessions. Proactively identify and build effective solutions to moderately complex technical problems.
