HCM/LMS Business Systems Analyst

Location: Kenilworth, NJ
Our direct client is looking for a HCM/LMS Business Systems Analyst to join their team in their Kenilworth, NJ location.
Their organization is embarking on an enterprise-wide implementation of an LMS platform and maximizing capabilities and solutions in their HCM environment and is seeking a BSA that has previous experience in support of related HCM/LMS platforms.  In this role, you will be responsible for build, configuration, integration and support of these systems, including managing workflows, user access issues, data anomalies.  You will also act as the technical escalation point for related issues, and research, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated user issues.   Working closely with business and project stakeholders to ensure that the system is delivered and maintained according to meet business requirements.

System Management Specialist – HCM/LMS
Candidate should have solid experience working on HCM and LMS tools and understands how all of HR technology interconnects (optimally, ideally) to ensure that the employee/user experience is seamless.  This person will be involved in continued HR/HCM product evaluations and understands the interconnectedness of the systems to achieve optimum success.
You will serve as the functional/technical point of contact between operations and new deployment, and be a key contributor to optimizing & enhancing HCM/LMS solutions and systems to allow the business to fully capitalize on the features & flexibility within their systems.  You will be involved in implementing new feature sets, and be responsible for working with documented requirements to develop functional documentation, as well as configuring workflows and building-out the design for new functionality.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing & supporting HCM/LMS systems, such as (HCM) Ceridian/Dayforce and (LMS) Cornerstone, etc.  Ceridian, Cornerstone and Dynamics 365 experience is a huge plus, but experience with other systems, provided you have a strong functional understanding of HCM systems and business flows within.

Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 3+ years of IT background, including hands-on experience with one or more HCM and LMS tools.
  • Strong business analysis skills and understanding of HR, business operations and ideally project-based work environments.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both a variety of business stakeholders and technical staff within the organization.
  • Experience integrating systems with Enterprise CRM/ERP systems (i.e. Dynamics, NetSuite, Salesforce) is highly preferred.
Nice to have
  • Proficiency with web technologies such as C#, HTML, CSS, and XML is preferred; you will not be coding web components, but understanding and ability to troubleshoot integrated systems within the Microsoft/web stack will be a recipe for success in this role.

  • 4-year degree in Business, MIS, or related field is required.
  • Accountable for HCM and LMS ongoing maintenance, enhancements, upgrades, end user access, and configuration. (While Ceridian, Cornerstone and Dynamics365 experience is preferred, we will also consider other similar environments.
  • Participate in all phases of the Solution Delivery Life Cycle including planning, requirements definition, solution design, test execution, and implementation of business applications.
  • Work with the PeopleTeam leaders to analyze and validate the business needs of project stakeholders.
  • Complete applicable project-related documentation, including; design specifications, application test plans, test cases and scripts, and provides criteria for Instructional Design
  • Perform impact analysis of changes to an application or technology platform.
  • Manage small to medium-sized solutions, such as; minor enhancements, reports development, and application of hot fixes.
  • Works closely with the Applications Support, Service Delivery Management, and other Application Management teams to ensure the business systems and system implementations are supported appropriately.
  • Participate in Project Intake Phase to help develop appropriate time and cost estimates for discovery and high-level requirements definition.
  • Contribute to the technology roadmap for selected business applications and systems.
