BI Analyst

Location: Tempe, AZ
Atrilogy's Direct client is looking for a BI Analyst in Tempe AZ.

This is a Direct Hire position.

Job Description:

The BI Analyst will work as member of the Business intelligence (BI) and analytics team on the latest Microsoft BI stack. This position is a technical resource that develops data movement solutions required for the data warehouse environment used by our customers and field organizations. This position works closely with the business to deliver value through BI. The current technical environment is the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SQL Server 2016-17 SSAS Tabular, Power BI, and SSRS). The ideal candidate will be interested in learning and developing in new BI stacks and coding in languages outside of the latter such as Hadoop, Python and PowerShell

Key activities for this role include:

Understanding customer business needs and translating them into written requirements which can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences 

Designing, developing, and deploying BI solutions using Microsoft BI technologies including SQL Server, Power BI, Excel, SSIS, SSRS, & SSAS 

Analyzing new / disparate data sources to integrate with existing datasets to tell a comprehensive BI story 

Building compelling, interactive and actionable reporting on top of structured data models 

Supporting the full BI lifecycle from requirements analysis, through design & development and on into release and support/maintenance phases 
Key Qualities:

A successful candidate will combine strong technical skills with business acumen and effective communication skills to bring complex data-driven solutions to life and enable our customers’ success. The role requires an individual who has built end-to-end BI solutions and is highly motivated to take the responsibility and the associated reward of seeing BI solutions from conception through to successful delivery.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Masters or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence
  • 3+ years’ in a Data Warehouse environment using Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS tabular, etc.)
  • 3+ years developing ETL solutions in a Data warehouse environment using the Microsoft stack
  • Experience translating business requirements into data requirements
  • Experience building SQL stored procedures, SQL queries in relational and multidimensional databases
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards (Power BI including DAX, and SSRS)
