Job Summary
As a member of the Information Systems team, this resource is responsible for providing data analysis services to the Managed Care leadership team. Using a combination of health care insurance business knowledge, data analysis skills, and the ability to communicate complex issues to senior leadership, this role will be responsible for generating data driven analysis across all managed care operational areas and data domains, with the primary objective of providing actionable recommendations in support of the leadership team’s efforts to achieve the Managed Care organization’s tactical and strategic business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Business or Information Management related concentration preferred.
  • Five to seven years of progressive data analysis experience required. Health Care Insurance related work experience is preferred.  Experience leading cross functional initiatives through prioritization, overall coordination, development, and status-reporting of analytical projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong business acumen, an ability to quickly understand business processes and operational concepts, knowledge of data analysis methodologies with the ability to apply them in an efficient manner to meet business requirements.
  • An inquisitive problem solver with the technical skills to query a variety of data sources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thoroughly document and communicate methods and results. 
  • Ability to persuasively present ideas and results. 
  • Ability to create financial and statistical analysis, models, or reports to summarize results and projections.
  • Managed Care operations and clinical knowledge preferred.
Computers and Technology:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Visio)
  • Data query ability with MS SQL Server
  • Experience using Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) preferred
