SAP MES Analyst

Location: Irvine, CA
Your responsibilities                                                                                         
Support of the current MES systems/solutions for our client’s North America subsidiaries.  Works closely with the various Factory departments to support current functionality, process improvements, and new projects.
Support of the following areas:
  • Connects IT with Business in the area of MES.
  • Understands the business owners, strategy and capabilities and determines corresponding solutions according to the Business and IT strategies.
  • Analyses business processes and requirements. Provides detailed functional solution concepts and transforms results into solutions.
  • Advises business owners in regard to the IT services and solutions and guides them in decision making.
  • Configures, integrates and customizes existing IT services to meet business requirements.
  • Prepare strategy and roadmap for employing digital solutions for plant floor.
  • Performing unit testing of changes (configuration, custom development, etc. in development and staging environments, including regression testing of functionality that may be impacted by change)
  • Document processes and provide user training.
Your profile
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Plant floor systems integrations. Preferably in Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Experience in the analysis and implementation of business requirements in the area of MES.
  • Experience in supporting MES solutions.
  • Strong English oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • A results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills, and organizational skills.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Ability to work with and apply defined methodologies.
  • Travel (10-20%).
  • Knowledge of plant floor end user systems such as Barcode scanners, printers, Andon boards, RFID readers and writers.
  • High-level understanding of PLC and its integration with MES integration.
  • Aware of  the interface of MES with ERP systems i.e. SAP
  • Knowledge of OpCon and configuration a plus.
