Our client is the contractor operator of two Department of Defense (Army) owned facilities located in Kingsport, VA and Radford, VA. The business unit of our client responsible for these contracts to operate the facilities is Ordnance Systems, Inc. (OSI). Within that business unit, there is a modernization department (PM Mod), which is responsible for construction and plant improvement projects. A direct responsibility of this department is the definition and successful implementation of project management, utilizing client’s guidelines for Lifecycle Management, Army requirements for plant operations, Construction Institute Best Practices, and OSI requirements. This position is for the documentation of processes and procedures of the PM Mod department. The Sr. Technical Writer/Editor will be responsible for meeting with department members to gather process information, identifying variations in processes, working with the PM Capabilities Manager to resolve variations, and documenting all processes and procedures.
