Senior EDI Developer

Location: Irvine, CA
Our Direct Client in Irvine, California is hiring a Senior EDI Developer in a contract to hire role or direct hire role. 

Role: Senior EDI Developer
Location: Irvine, CA (92614)
Duration: 6 months contract to Hire or Direct Hire
Start Date: ASAP
Must pass a background/drug screen
Implement and support multiple electronic data interchanges between healthcare partners while leveraging industry standards. This role must possess in-depth understanding of interchange methods and best practices.  Design and develop import and export structures used for business analytics, compliance, and monitoring.

The Senior EDI Developer will report to the Director of Data Solutions.
  • Develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.
  • Design and manage the partner connectivity through SFTP, web service, or API.
  • Design, develop and unit test new database code to support requirements, using database triggers, stored procedures and views.
  • Development of both import and export processes utilizing SQL and SSIS.
  • Monitor file exchange to ensure timely receipt and successful load/submission.
  • Work cohesively with other members of the Data Solutions team to maintain data cleanliness and accuracy.
  • Lead and mentor team members and customers in best practices and techniques to implement and manage a successful Electronic Data Interchange system.
  • Develop and maintain system integration with HL7 and XML data exchange

Job Complexity:
Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interact with senior internal and external personnel.
  • Advanced SQL Server with demonstrated capability using SSMS, SSIS, and other integration tools.
  • Data exchange (ETL) expertise
  • Experience working with EDI Healthcare standards (EDI 837, 834, 820, 278, HL7, Claims, Eligibility, Provider Network Management, CMS TRR, MMR, MOR, RAPS, EDPS)
  • Experience working with Healthcare Provider and Managed care data from a data profiling, analysis, and modeling perspective, with a solid understanding of the relevant Healthcare business processes.
  • Excellent analytic and problem solving capabilities.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
