Software Engineer - Python/ C++

Location: Louisville, CO
Atrilogy Solutions Group’s direct client is searching for a Python or C++ Developer to support a number of their software development initiatives in Louisville, CO for a 6+ month contract to hire position. The candidate will work with senior members of the Advanced Technology Group to help with prototyping and assessment of architectural directions by developing software prototypes or investigating existing software implementations. This candidate should have a solid foundation in software development and wireless technologies. The focus will be on innovation projects in a 3 to 8 year future time-frame.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 
  • 1-5 years software development experience including internships.
  • Experience in a variety of languages such as C ++ or Python. 
  • Software system design and architecture skills.
  • Experience developing prototypes and general rapid prototyping skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, although travel is minimal.
  • Web technology development:
  • Node.js, Express, dynamic pages.
  • Web server (e.g. Apache).
  • JavaScript, Web frameworks, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Client development: iOS, Android.
  • Git software management.
  • Ubuntu or other Linux systems.
  • Database experience such as SQL.
  • Embedded language - C++ or equivalent.
 
Desirable:
 
  • Graphics/Design/UX.
  • Photoshop, Gimp, Illustrator.
  • Web Design experience - User experience.
  • Hosted sites such as Amazon EC2.
 
Duties and responsibilities:
 
  • Participate in ideation sessions.
  • Work with senior team members to help define new innovation projects.
  • Design software architectures write software to implement and prototype new innovation projects.
  • Develop user interfaces to help with the demonstration of the prototypes.
  • Communicate to senior leaders and customers the technical aspects and value of the projects.
  • Create project plans and descriptions of the projects.
  • Ability to work in collaborative environment.
