Software Engineer- Wireless LTE

Location: Louisville, CO
Our Direct client in Louisville, CO is hiring a  software engineer to support a number of software development initiatives with a focus on wireless technologies.  
The candidate will help with prototyping and assessment of architectural directions by developing software prototypes or investigating existing software implementations in the wireless space. This candidate should have a solid foundation in software development and wireless technologies. The focus will be on innovation projects in a 3-8 year future time-frame.
The primary job duties and responsibilities are:
  • Participate in ideation sessions.
  • Work with senior team members to help define new innovation projects.
  • Design software architectures and write software to implement and prototype new innovation projects.
  •  Develop software within various aspects of the wireless space including LTE and Wi-Fi.
  •  Communicate to senior leaders and customers the technical aspects and value of the projects.
  •  Create project plans and descriptions of the projects.
  •  Ability to work in collaborative environment.
The Qualifications are:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.  
  • 1-5 years software development experience including internships.
  • Experience in a variety of languages such as C ++ or Python.
  • Software system design and architecture skills.
  • Extensive experience developing prototypes and general rapid prototyping skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, although travel is minimal.
  • Git software management.
  • Experience with Linux systems.
  • Database such as SQL.
  • Client development in iOS, Android.
  • Wi-Fi technology including OpenWrt.
  • Familiarity with low powered WAN networks including sensors.
  • Familiarity with mobile technologies (LTE) such as eNodeB and MME.
  • MATLAB experience.
  • Embedded system experience.
