Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Pasadena, CA
Our direct client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team as a full-time employee in Pasadena, CA.

Qualifications 
 Education  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related technical field required.
Minimum Experience
  • Minimum 8 years related work experience in DevOps
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in an AWS environment
Specialized Knowledge & Skills       
  • Thorough understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies
  • Strong experience in microservice migration, including containerization and serverless architecture
  • Experience building pipelines with CI/CD tools
  • Fluent implementing large-scale infrastructure as code
  • Experienced in architecting for high availability and cost-effective scalability in AWS
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
  • Scripting experience with maven, linux, python, and other related languages
  • Background in Linux/Unix and Windows administration

Do you have an interest in DevOps methodologies, software architecture design and cloud computing?  DevOps Engineer are responsible for creating infrastructure designs and guiding the development and implementation of cloud applications, systems and processes. This position will be working directly with application developers, usually embedded within the web/cloud development team itself.  The candidate will need to be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment.
