Our direct client is seeking to hire a Senior Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer t for a 1 year contract in Overland Park, KS.
Must be available for onsite interviews. Potential for extension
Monday-Friday (onsite work week)
hours: 8 am -- 5 pm
1. Bachelor’s Degree in computer information systems or related area.
2. Minimum 3+ years of automated software testing experience with Selenium web driver, Java, GIT, Maven, TestNG, JMeter, SoapUI, etc
3. Strong Object-Oriented design and implementation skills.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects.
IV. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS –
1. Ability to develop test-effort estimates (levels of effort) for projects.
2. Agile experience a plus.
JOB SUMMARY –
The SQA Automation Engineer will report to the SQA manager, participating in all assigned activities related to the planning, coordination, execution and reporting of all test initiatives required to validate software applications. Team responsibilities will include: Providing testing baseline and LOE’s, all levels of testing, as determined by project needs, to include warranty and post release support. The SQA Automation Engineer will work closely with automation team and project team to document and execute Automated test cases, Test plans, track test data, identify expected results and log/facilitate bug resolutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Execute and validate medium to complex projects performed through independent validation and verification of various IT systems.
Develop and document automated test cases to reduce testing time and effort. To ensure stable products are delivered to clients.
Develop logging and reporting of automated test execution and results.
Develop load and stress tests.
Ability to train others regarding automation test concepts, mentor and train as needed.
Demonstrate skills and abilities needed to coordinate, facilitate, and participate in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments.
General comprehension of the software testing process and methodology from Unit Testing through User Acceptance to include: Functional/Manual, System and Integration, Regression, Automation, Load and Performance and Stress testing.
Review requirement specification documents to gain a functional understanding of the application(s).
Participate in requirements meetings verifying the testability of requirements.
Identify, document, and communicate all issues discovered during test case creation and test execution following documented issues reporting procedures and processes
